At the crossroads of the Buëch valley and the Aiguebelle valley, La Faurie plays between Provence and the Alps.
Formerly called Saint André en Beauchêne, the town has four hamlets, Saint André, Le Villard, Valletta and Seille.
While strolling in Saint Andrew you will discover the church of the XVIIth century, of the Roman type, the old presbytery, the mount, the old school or the tower of the pigeon house.
A little further, at the Pusteaux is a strange little flat sundial that you can observe.
In the hamlet of Villard, a monastery of obedience "Greek orthodox" was built in 1974 on the ruins of the hamlet of Notre Dame du Beauchaine "dating from 1183. Until the Revolution, this farm belonged to the Chartreuse of Durbon.
At the end of the road, the castle of Villard XVIth century is today a private property.
Crossed by the GR country around Grand Buëch, the climbing site and via ferrata is along the Gorges d'Agnielles. To the north, at the level of the Durbonas torrent, the "Devil's Marmites" are a place of canyoning.
