The via souterrata is rated "Assez Difficile +" because of its underground environment.
For your first discovery, we recommend that you be accompanied by a speleologist guide.
Those who are used to via ferrata, climbing or caving will be able to go underground on their own!
Minimum height: 1.40 m
- Routes :
Classic discovery course: 3h30* including 2h00* exploration, *approximately + or - 30 mn depending on group level
And on request: Full course + caving exploration: 4h including 2h30 exploration
- Equipment supplied:
Helmet, lighting, caving suit, harness, lanyards with shock absorber, neoprene booties, gloves, knee pads, shoes if yours are not suitable.
- What to wear :
Warm tracksuit-style clothing (top and bottom) - the temperature in the cave is around 9°, socks, hiking boots or sneakers that close well, so that the soles are not smooth.
- Directions :
To get to the via souterrata, park in Superdévoluy in the large parking lot at the entrance to the resort.
From there, a signpost guides you to the entrance of the cave (approx. 20 minutes' walk).
